RiskPilot Privacy Policy

RiskPilot is operated by Pac Soft LLC (“RiskPilot,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). This Privacy Policy explains what information may be collected, stored, used, and shared when you use the RiskPilot mobile application and related services (collectively, the “Service”).

RiskPilot is a trading planning, risk-management, journaling, analytics, and educational tool. RiskPilot does not require a RiskPilot user account, does not connect directly to your brokerage account, does not execute trades, and does not hold or manage customer funds.

1. Information We Collect and Store

Trading and Journal Information

RiskPilot allows you to enter, import, and maintain information about your trading activity. Depending on the features you use, this information may include:

  • Trading account balance and balance history
  • Stock, ETF, or other security symbols
  • Trade direction, such as long or short
  • Entry prices
  • Stop-loss prices
  • Target prices
  • Share quantities
  • Planned risk and risk/reward ratios
  • Trade status
  • Exit prices
  • Profit and loss
  • Trade plans
  • Journal entries
  • Notes and tags
  • Risk preferences and daily risk limits
  • Trading analytics and performance statistics
  • Learning progress
  • Application preferences

RiskPilot does not obtain this information by logging into your brokerage account. RiskPilot does not request or store your brokerage username, password, or other brokerage login credentials.

Trading information is designed to be stored primarily on your device. Information may leave your device when necessary for a feature you explicitly use, such as exporting or backing up data, or when communicating with RiskPilot services as described in this Privacy Policy.

Voice Memos

RiskPilot may allow you to record and attach voice memos to trades or journal entries. If you use this feature, RiskPilot may request access to your device’s microphone when necessary to record audio.

Voice recordings are associated with your RiskPilot trading or journal data. You can choose whether to use the voice memo feature and can manage applicable recordings through RiskPilot’s available data-management features.

Market Data Requests

RiskPilot may communicate with Pac Soft LLC servers and market-data services to retrieve information such as:

  • Stock and security symbols
  • Security or company names
  • Current or recent market prices
  • Price changes
  • Market status and trading hours
  • Historical price information
  • Chart or sparkline data

When your device communicates with online services, limited technical information may be processed automatically, including your IP address, device or operating-system information, application version, request timestamps, and server or security logs.

RiskPilot does not use market-data requests to access your brokerage account or execute trades.

Subscription and Purchase Information

RiskPilot offers free functionality and may offer additional functionality through RiskPilot Pro.

We may receive limited purchase and subscription information from Apple, Google Play, RevenueCat, or other applicable payment and subscription providers. This information may include:

  • Subscription status
  • Product or entitlement information
  • Purchase status
  • Renewal status
  • Expiration status
  • Transaction or purchase identifiers
  • Limited application or device information needed to manage subscriptions

Purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play are processed by the applicable platform. Pac Soft LLC does not receive your complete payment-card information for purchases processed by those platforms.

Support Communications

If you contact Pac Soft LLC or RiskPilot for assistance, we may collect information you voluntarily provide, including your email address, support request, feedback, screenshots, diagnostic information, and other information you choose to provide.

2. How We Use Information

We may use information as necessary to:

  • Provide, maintain, and secure RiskPilot
  • Calculate position size, planned risk, targets, and other trading calculations
  • Maintain your trading journal and trade plans
  • Display trading history and analytics
  • Track planned, open, closed, or cancelled trades
  • Calculate profit and loss and other performance statistics
  • Maintain risk preferences and trading settings
  • Provide market quotes and related market information
  • Provide educational content and track lesson progress
  • Manage RiskPilot Pro subscriptions and entitlements
  • Provide backup, export, restore, and data-management functionality where available
  • Respond to customer-support requests
  • Diagnose errors and improve application reliability and performance
  • Protect RiskPilot and related services against abuse, fraud, or security threats
  • Comply with applicable legal obligations

We do not sell or rent your personal information.

We do not use your trading information for third-party targeted advertising or cross-app advertising.

3. Local Data and Device Storage

RiskPilot is designed to operate without requiring a RiskPilot user account. Trading plans, journal information, risk preferences, analytics information, learning progress, settings, and other application information may be maintained using storage available to RiskPilot on your device.

Because RiskPilot does not require an account, Pac Soft LLC may not be able to recover locally stored trading information if your device is lost, damaged, reset, or if RiskPilot is deleted, unless an available backup or export was created separately.

Your device’s operating system or backup services, such as Apple iCloud or Android device backup, may independently back up application information depending on your device and backup settings. Those services are controlled by their respective providers and are governed by their own privacy policies.

4. Backup, Export, Restore, and Data Deletion

RiskPilot may provide Data Management tools that allow you to back up, export, restore, or delete application data.

When you choose to export or back up information, you are responsible for protecting exported files after they leave RiskPilot. You should avoid sharing exported trading information with people or services you do not trust.

Deleting RiskPilot data from your device does not necessarily delete information independently maintained by third parties such as Apple, Google, or RevenueCat for subscription management, transaction records, accounting, fraud prevention, security, or legal compliance.

Deleting the RiskPilot application does not automatically cancel an active subscription. Subscriptions must be managed or canceled through the applicable Apple App Store or Google Play account.

5. Device Permissions

RiskPilot may request access to certain device capabilities when required to provide a feature.

Microphone: May be requested when you choose to record a voice memo.

Files or Storage: May be used when you choose to import, export, back up, restore, or save RiskPilot information.

RiskPilot requests device permissions only when needed for applicable functionality. You can manage permissions through your device settings. Disabling a permission may prevent the related feature from functioning.

6. Market Data and Backend Services

RiskPilot may communicate with Pac Soft LLC infrastructure and market-data providers to obtain market information and provide related functionality.

These communications may process limited technical information necessary to receive and respond to requests, maintain security, diagnose problems, prevent abuse, and protect our infrastructure.

RiskPilot is not a brokerage service.

RiskPilot does not:

  • Execute securities transactions
  • Place orders with a brokerage
  • Hold customer funds or securities
  • Maintain brokerage accounts
  • Request or store brokerage login credentials

Market information displayed by RiskPilot may be delayed, incomplete, unavailable, or different from information displayed by a brokerage, exchange, or trading venue.

7. Subscriptions and RevenueCat

RiskPilot may use RevenueCat to manage RiskPilot Pro subscription and purchase entitlements.

RevenueCat may process information necessary to determine whether a subscription or purchase is active, including transaction identifiers, subscription products, entitlement status, renewal or expiration information, and limited application or device information.

Apple and Google may separately process information related to purchases made through their respective application stores.

Pac Soft LLC does not receive complete credit-card or payment-card information for purchases processed through those stores.

8. Service Providers and Data Sharing

We may share limited information with service providers only when necessary to operate RiskPilot, provide functionality requested by you, maintain security, process subscriptions, or comply with applicable law.

  • Apple — Provides iOS application distribution and processes applicable App Store purchases and subscriptions.
  • Google Play — Provides Android application distribution and processes applicable Google Play purchases and subscriptions.
  • RevenueCat — Manages mobile subscription and purchase entitlements.
  • Market-data and infrastructure providers — Help RiskPilot retrieve market information and operate, host, secure, and maintain backend services.

We may also disclose information in the limited legal circumstances described in this Privacy Policy.

We do not sell users’ trading information to data brokers or advertisers.

9. Analytics, Diagnostics, and Technical Information

RiskPilot and services necessary to operate the application may process limited technical or diagnostic information, including:

  • Device type
  • Operating system
  • Application version
  • IP address when communicating with online services
  • Error and crash information
  • Performance information
  • Request timestamps
  • Security and server logs

This information may be used to operate the Service, diagnose technical problems, maintain security, prevent abuse, and improve application reliability.

We do not use this information to track you across other companies’ apps or websites for advertising purposes.

10. Data Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information handled by RiskPilot.

Online communications with RiskPilot services use appropriate security measures, including encryption in transit where applicable. Locally stored information is also subject to security protections provided by your device and operating system.

No electronic storage or transmission system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You are responsible for maintaining appropriate security for your device and for RiskPilot data that you export, share, or back up.

11. Data Retention

Trading and journal information stored locally generally remains on your device until you modify or delete it, remove RiskPilot, or your device or operating system otherwise removes the information.

Information processed by backend services, such as technical, security, and diagnostic logs, may be retained for a reasonable period necessary to operate and secure the Service, investigate errors or abuse, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes.

Subscription and transaction records may be retained by Pac Soft LLC, Apple, Google, RevenueCat, or other applicable providers as required for subscription management, accounting, tax, fraud prevention, and legal obligations.

Support communications may be retained as reasonably necessary to respond to requests, maintain support records, resolve disputes, protect the Service, or comply with legal obligations.

When information under our control is no longer reasonably necessary, we may delete or de-identify it in accordance with our retention practices.

12. Your Privacy Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live and the information we maintain about you, you may have the right to:

  • Access personal information we maintain about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate personal information
  • Request deletion of eligible personal information
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Receive portable information where applicable
  • Withdraw consent where processing relies on consent
  • Appeal certain privacy decisions where applicable

Much of the information you create in RiskPilot may be stored locally and can be managed directly through the application.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.

13. Legal and Safety Disclosures

We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to:

  • Comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or lawful government request
  • Protect users, the public, Pac Soft LLC, RiskPilot, or another party from fraud, abuse, or security threats
  • Investigate violations of our agreements
  • Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims
  • Protect our legal rights, property, or services

14. Business Transfers

If Pac Soft LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of some or all of its assets, information under our control may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.

We will provide notice when required if such a transaction results in a material change to how personal information is handled.

15. International Data Transfers

Pac Soft LLC and its service providers may process limited information in the United States and other countries. Where required by applicable law, appropriate contractual or legal safeguards may be used for international transfers of personal information.

16. Children’s Privacy

RiskPilot is intended for individuals 18 years of age or older.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe that a child has provided personal information to RiskPilot or Pac Soft LLC, please contact us so that we can take appropriate action.

17. Third-Party Links and Services

RiskPilot may contain links to or interact with third-party websites, market-data providers, application stores, or other services.

Those third parties operate under their own terms and privacy policies. Pac Soft LLC is not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing information directly to them.

18. Trading and Financial Information

RiskPilot is designed to help users plan, record, review, and learn about trading.

RiskPilot is not a broker-dealer, investment adviser, brokerage account, or trading platform.

RiskPilot does not execute securities transactions or hold customer funds or securities.

Information entered into RiskPilot is used to provide calculations, journaling, analytics, risk-management tools, educational functionality, and related application features.

RiskPilot’s calculations, market information, analytics, and educational materials are provided for informational and educational purposes. Nothing in this Privacy Policy changes or replaces RiskPilot’s applicable Terms of Use.

19. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes to RiskPilot, our service providers, legal requirements, or our privacy practices.

When we update this Privacy Policy, we will revise the Last updated date at the top of this page. When required by applicable law, we may provide additional notice regarding material changes.
